THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS: TO ADVANCE THE MUSICAL EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN MIDDLESBROUGH, TEES VALLEY AND THE BROADER NORTH EAST REGION IN PARTICULAR BY: A) PROVIDING GRANTS OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO CHARITIES AND NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANISATIONS DESIGNED TO SUPPORT THE PROVISION OF MUSICAL ENGAGEMENT AND MUSICAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES AND ACTIVITIES FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES, ABILITIES AND BACKGROUNDS; B) PROVIDING WORKSHOPS, EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES, FACILITATED BY QUALIFIED MUSIC PROFESSIONALS, TO PROMOTE ENGAGEMENT WITH AND ENJOYMENT OF MUSIC
