Charitable objects
3.1 THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 3.1.1 TO ADVANCE THE ISLAMIC FAITH IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TEACHINGS PROMOTED BY ITS PREDECESSOR CHARITY, DAR UL ULOOM ISLAMIA RIZWIA (BRALAWAI) (CHARITY NUMBER 517381) IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATEMENT OF FAITH AND FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY: (A) THE PROVISION, MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT OF MOSQUES AND ANCILLARY PREMISES IN BIRMINGHAM AND ELSEWHERE; AND (B) THE PROVISION OF EDUCATIONAL AND RELIGIOUS CLASSES. 3.1.2 THE RELIEF OF POVERTY OR ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION OR FURTHERANCE OF ANY PURPOSE WHICH IS EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE UNDER THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN ANY PART OF THE WORLD AS A PRACTICAL MANIFESTATION AND APPLICATION OF HUMANITARIAN VALUES INSPIRED BY THE ISLAMIC FAITH. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
