TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE HEALTH OF PEOPLE IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY FROM BLACK AND MINORITY ETHNIC (BME) COMMUNITIES IN GLOUCESTERSHIRE BY PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF: (A) COMMUNITY LED SESSIONS CONDUCTED THROUGH PODCASTS, TALKS, SEMINARS, GUEST SPEAKERS, CONFERENCES, TRAINING AND MEETINGS TO INCREASE AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING OF HEALTH AND WELLBEING TOPICS RELEVANT TO THE BLACK AND MINORITY ETHNIC (BME) COMMUNITIES; (B) A MENTORING PROGRAMME WHICH PARTNERS NHS REPRESENTATIVES AND LEADERS WITH MEMBERS OF THE LOCAL BME COMMUNITY TO IMPROVE UNDERSTANDING OF THE HEALTH NEEDS AND CONCERNS OF THE LOCAL BME COMMUNITY IN ORDER TO IMPROVE HEALTH OUTCOMES; AND (C) A FORUM AND ENGAGEMENT GROUP FOR THE NHS AND THE LOCAL COMMUNITY TO IDENTIFY AND ADDRESS HEALTHCARE DISPARITIES AND CHALLENGES FACED BY THE BME COMMUNITY.
