THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO, TO BE CARRIED OUT FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN ROCHDALE AND SUCH OTHER PARTS OF THE UK AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL DETERMINE, ARE: A) THE PROTECTION AND PRESERVATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT BY THE PROMOTION OF WASTE REDUCTION, REPAIR AND REFURBISHMENT, REUSE AND RECYCLING, INCLUDING RAISING PUBLIC AWARENESS OF RESOURCE EFFICIENCY, THROUGH WASTE MINIMISATION E.G. REPAIR, REFURBISH AND REUSE OR RECYCLING; B) THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY AND THE RELIEF OF THOSE IN NEED, BY REASON OF YOUTH, AGE, ILL-HEALTH, DISABILITY OR OTHER SOCIAL DISADVANTAGE THROUGH THE PROVISION OF RECYCLED AND NEW ITEMS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, FURNITURE, BEDDING, CLOTHING, WHITE GOODS, BABY EQUIPMENT, TOYS, ESSENTIAL HOUSEHOLD ITEMS, MEDICAL AIDS AND TOILETRIES; C) TO FURTHER SUCH OTHER PURPOSES AS ARE EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE WITHIN THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES THROUGH THE MAKING OF DONATIONS.
