Activities - how the charity spends its money
ESS Education and Support Services offer alternative bespoke educational packages for young people who are NEET. ESS offers vocational and academic qualifications. ESS offer education, support, advice and guidance to parents, carers and guardians. ESS have plans to open its first Community Hub, in 2024, providing a number of SEMH services, resources and creating a safe space for local residents.

Charitable objects
1. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF INDIVIDUALS AGED 10-25 IN SOMERSET AND THE WIDER SOUTH WEST REGION, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN SUCH WAYS THAT THE CHARITY TRUSTEES THINK FIT, INCLUDING BY: A. PROVIDING STUDENT CENTRED SUPPORT AND MEETING THEIR INDIVIDUAL NEEDS IN EDUCATION, WITH THE ULTIMATE GOAL OF EMPLOYMENT, OR MOVEMENT INTO TRADITIONAL OR FURTHER EDUCATION. 2. TO ADVANCE IN LIFE AND HELP YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 10-25 IN SOMERSET AND THE WIDER SOUTH WEST REGION THROUGH: A. PROVIDING SUPPORT AND ACTIVITIES WHICH DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS. 3. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUPILS AT SCHOOLS IN THE SOUTH WEST BY PROVIDING AND ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES (E.G. BESPOKE LEARNING PACKAGES AND TEACHING STAFF FOR VULNERABLE STUDENTS DISENGAGED WITH THE MAIN-STREAM CURRICULUM), FOR EDUCATION AT THE SCHOOL. 4. TO PROVIDE EDUCATION FOR PARENT/GUARDIANS OF CHILDREN AGED 10-25 IN SOMERSET AND WIDER SOUTH WEST REGION WHO ARE NEET, AT RISK OF BECOMING NEET, OR ARE HOME-SCHOOLED BY: A. PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES AND WORKSHOPS SUPPLYING INFORMATION, SUPPORT, AND GUIDANCE ON EVERY ASPECT OF MEETING THEIR CHILD?S UNIQUE NEEDS.
