3.1 THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, TO PROMOTE THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WHO ARE PATIENTS IN HEALTH CARE SETTINGS OR RECEIVING MEDICAL CARE AT HOME OR IN THE COMMUNITY PRIMARILY BY: 3.1.1 PROMOTING HIGH PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS FOR HEALTH PLAY SPECIALISTS; 3.1.2 PROMOTING AND MAINTAINING HIGH STANDARDS OF CARE FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH THE VALIDATION, ADVANCEMENT AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE EDUCATION AND TRAINING OF HEALTH PLAY SPECIALISTS; 3.1.3 ADVANCING THE ADVANCE EDUCATION AND STUDY OF DEVELOPMENTAL, THERAPEUTIC AND SPECIALISED PLAY FOR CHILDREN, YOUNG PEOPLE AND THEIR FAMILIES; AND 3.1.4 ORGANISING AND PROMOTING THE PUBLICATION OF RESEARCH INTO ACCESS AND PROVISION OF PLAY IN ALL HEALTH CARE SETTINGS AND THE COMMUNITY FOR CHILDREN, YOUNG PEOPLE AND THEIR FAMILIES. NOTHING IN THESE ARTICLES SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CHARITY FOR PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ANY STATUTORY PROVISION REGARDING THE MEANING OF THE WORD “CHARITABLE” OR THE WORDS “CHARITABLE PURPOSES” IN FORCE IN ANY PART OF THE UNITED KINGDOM.
