THE CHARITY'S OBJECTS ('OBJECTS') ARE SPECIFICALLY RESTRICTED TO THE FOLLOWING: 1. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF PEOPLE ACROSS NOTTINGHAMSHIRE AND DERBYSHIRE, IN PARTICULAR THOSE WHO HAVE HAD OR ARE CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING BARRIERS TO EDUCATION DUE TO BEING HELD BACK OR SET BACK BY LIFE EVENTS AND/OR PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES WHICH HAVE RESULTED IN LIMITED LIFE CHOICES AND CHANCES, BY PROMOTING AND DELIVERING EDUCATION. 2. THE PROMOTION OF ANY OTHER RECOGNISED CHARITABLE PURPOSE, THROUGH SUCH OTHER MEANS AS MAY FROM TIME TO TIME BE DETERMINED SUBJECT TO THE PRIOR WRITTEN CONSENT OF THE CHARITY COMMISSIONERS FOR ENGLAND AND WALES. [NOTHING IN THE ARTICLES SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CHARITY FOR PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND/OR SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.]
