THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE MENTAL HEALTH OF ADULTS SUFFERING FROM MENTAL ILL-HEALTH BY: 1. PROVIDING COUNSELLING AND PSYCHOTHERAPY SESSIONS WITH TRAINED PRACTITIONERS TO THOSE WHO, THROUGH LACK OF MEANS, WOULD OTHERWISE BE UNABLE TO OBTAIN SUCH SESSIONS; 2. PROVIDING GRANTS TO ENABLE INDIVIDUALS TO TRAIN AS COUNSELLORS AND PSYCHOTHERAPISTS WHEN THEY WOULD OTHERWISE BE UNABLE TO AFFORD TO DO SO, ULTIMATELY INCREASING THE NUMBER OF SERVICE PROVIDERS THAT CAN BE ACCESSED BY THOSE WITH MENTAL ILL-HEALTH.
