The Pickle Palace's mission is to rescue food and feed people in the North East of England Our vision is to provide long term food support in deprived communities of the North East, helping the most vulnerable as well as those who wish to live a more sustainable and eco-friendly life. We want to teach people to think about and see food differently so as to eat better and waste less.

Charitable objects
1. TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THE CONSERVATION, PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT BY THE PROMOTION OF FOOD WASTE REDUCTION. 2. TO RELIEVE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AMONG PEOPLE LIVING AND WORKING IN THE WEST OF GATESHEAD AND SURROUNDING AREAS BY BEING ABLE TO PROVIDE SUCH PERSONS WITH FOOD WHICH THEY MAY NOT OTHERWISE AFFORD THROUGH LACK OF MEANS. 3. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC ON THE SUBJECT OF COOKING AND NOT WASTING FOOD, FOCUSSING BOTH ON CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE AND LIFELONG LEARNING TO INCREASE COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND UNDERSTANDING INCLUDING NUTRITION, MEAL PRODUCTION AND COOKING ON A BUDGET.
