THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF PEOPLE OF ALL AGES WITH DYSLEXIA AND SPECIFIC LEARNING DIFFERENCES AND TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC, TEACHERS AND OTHER PROFESSIONALS IN RELATION TO DYSLEXIA AND ASSOCIATED DIFFICULTIES, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, THROUGH TRAINING. FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS CLAUSE, “SPECIFIC LEARNING DIFFERENCES” MEANS NEURODEVELOPMENTAL DISORDERS THAT MAY AFFECT AN INDIVIDUAL’S ABILITY TO RECEIVE, PROCESS AND RECALL INFORMATION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: • DYSPRAXIA OR DEVELOPMENTAL COORDINATION DISORDER (DCD) • DYSCALCULIA • DYSGRAPHIA
