THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN CORNWALL AND BEYOND, ARE THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION, THE DIFFUSION OF KNOWLEDGE, AND THE PROVISION OF LITERATURE, AND FOR SUCH PURPOSES TO PROVIDE ITS MEMBERS AND THE PUBLIC WITH LIBRARY REFERENCE, AND RESEARCH FACILITIES (INCLUDING PHOTOGRAPHIC AND OTHER ARCHIVES), AND LECTURES, EXHIBITIONS, AND OTHER SIMILAR EVENTS.
