THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: THE PROVISION OF RELIEF AND ASSISTANCE TO VICTIMS OF FLOODING AND SIMILAR NATURAL CATASTROPHES IN COCKERMOUTH, CUMBRIA, IN PARTICULAR BY: (A) PROVIDING A VOLUNTEER LED EMERGENCY RESPONSE TO THE COMMUNITY AS AND WHEN INSTRUCTED TO DO SO BY THE EMERGENCY SERVICES. (B) WORKING TOGETHER WITH OTHER ORGANISATIONS, TO HELP INDIVIDUALS AND THE COMMUNITY, PLAN AND PREPARE FOR EMERGENCIES. (C) PROVIDING A VOLUNTEER LED RECOVERY PROGRAMME FOR THE COMMUNITY FOLLOWING AN EMERGENCY.
