THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1) THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY PROVIDING GRANTS, TRAINING, WORKSHOPS AND EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE AND SERVICES TO PERSONS WHO ARE SEEKING TO TRAIN IN THE LEGAL PROFESSION BUT WHO ARE RESTRICTED IN DOING SO BY REASON OF THEIR POVERTY. 2) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF STUDENTS OF THE LAW BY PROVIDING ORGANISED EVENTS AND WORKSHOPS AND PROVIDING ACCESS TO EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES AND GUIDANCE.
