FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, THE RELIEF AND ASSISTANCE OF OLDER PEOPLE OR THOSE WITH AN ILLNESS OR DISABILITY WHO ARE IN RESIDENTIAL OR NURSING CARE HOMES IN CORNWALL BY PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF VOLUNTEERS TO INCREASE SOCIAL CONTACT, SUPPORT THE EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL WELL-BEING OF THE RESIDENTS, AND REDUCE THEIR SOCIAL ISOLATION, AND BY PROVIDING SUPPORT AND TRAINING TO SUCH VOLUNTEERS.
