Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1)FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, THE RELIEF OF THOSE IN NEED BY REASON OF DISABILITY BY SUCH CHARITABLE MEANS AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME THINK FIT, IN PARTICULAR IN THE NORTH OF ENGLAND. THIS WILL BE ACHIEVED BY PROVIDING ADVICE, SUPPORT AND INFORMATION TO DISABLED YOUNG PEOPLE AND ADULTS (AGED 18 TO 50) TO SUPPORT TRANSITIONS INTO ADULTHOOD, AND PROVIDING ADVICE, SUPPORT, ACTIVITIES AND INFORMATION TO THE FAMILIES, FRIENDS AND CARERS (INCLUDING HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE PROFESSIONALS) OF SUCH YOUNG PEOPLE. 2 ) TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY PREVENTING PEOPLE FROM BECOMING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, RELIEVING THE NEEDS OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED AND ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY. FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLAUSE ‘SOCIALLY EXCLUDED’ MEANS BEING EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY, OR PARTS OF SOCIETY, AS A RESULT DISABILITY.
