THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: TO FOSTER GOOD CITIZENSHIP FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC AT LARGE BY CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF PERMANENT NATIONAL MEMORIAL AT ST ANDREW’S GARDENS, KINGS CROSS, LONDON TO COMMEMORATE THE VICTIMS AND SURVIVORS OF THE PASSENGER SHIP THE ARANDORA STAR, SUNK ON 2 JULY 1940. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE HISTORY OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR AND IN PARTICULAR THE SINKING OF THE PASSENGER SHIP THE ARANDORA STAR.
