ACH operates in the TN21 area, and assists the elderly and disabled. We operate a minibus service for trips and outings. We also operate medical car service whereby volunteers use their own cars to transport people to any medically related appointment. We have a Men's shed for socialisation and making of wooded items.

Charitable objects
THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO PROMOTE THE RELIEF OF ELDERLY AND DISABLED PEOPLE, INCLUDING OUR MEMBERS, WITHIN ANY AREA LOCATED WITHIN THE TN21 POSTCODE (THE AREA OF BENEFIT) BY: (A) PROVIDING A MINIBUS SERVICE FOR TRIPS AND OUTINGS, TO PLACES OF INTEREST, TO AND FROM LOCAL SOCIAL GROUPS AND WEEKLY LUNCH CLUBS, AS WELL AS A WEEKLY SHOPPING RUN; (B) PROVIDING A MEDICAL CAR SERVICE WHEREBY VOLUNTEERS USE THEIR OWN CARS TO TRANSPORT PEOPLE TO ANY MEDICALLY RELATED APPOINTMENT; (C) PROVIDING A MEN’S SHED SITE FOR MEN OVER THE AGE OF 60 TO SOCIALISE AND TAKE PART IN MAKING A VARIETY OF WOOD ITEMS; (D) PROVIDING A SHOPPING SERVICE WHEREBY VOLUNTEERS USE THEIR OWN CARS TO OBTAIN SHOPPING ITEMS THAT PEOPLE HAVE REQUESTED VIA THEIR SHOPPING LIST; AND (E) THE PROVISION OF WOOL AND NEEDLES TO PEOPLE TO KNIT A VARIETY OF ITEMS FOR DONATING TO LOCAL CARE HOMES. 3.2 NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
