Adopt-a-School Foundation UK supports the creation and enhancement of a learning and teaching environment in underdeveloped and underperforming schools in Southern Africa in some of the most marginalised communities. The operating model addresses the complex needs of a particular school across teaching, leadership, social welfare needs and schooling infrastructure until independently sustainable.

Charitable objects
TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN SOUTHERN AFRICA THROUGH THE PROVISION OF GRANTS TO CHARITIES AND ORGANISATIONS WORKING TO IMPROVE EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN SOUTHERN AFRICA BY IMPLEMENTING THE WHOLE SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT MODEL, IN PARTICULAR IN THOSE SCHOOLS WHICH ARE LOW PERFORMING AND/OR SERVE SOCIO-ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITIES. “THE WHOLE SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT MODEL” MEANS IMPLEMENTING PROJECTS THAT ADDRESS THE BASIC AND URGENT NEEDS IN TERMS OF A SOUTHERN AFRICAN SCHOOL’S LEADERSHIP INFRASTRUCTURE, CURRICULUM DELIVERY, IMPROVING TEACHING SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES, AND SOCIAL WELFARE.
