THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO PRESERVE AND CONSERVE HERITAGE RAILWAY ASSETS IN THE 9.5 GAUGE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: (1) SECURING, REPAIRING AND FINDING NEW USES FOR HERITAGE LOCOMOTIVES, ROLLING STOCK, AND EQUIPMENT IN THE 9.5 INCH GAUGE; AND, (2) RESEARCHING, PRESERVING AND PROMOTING THE HISTORY OF MINIATURE RAILWAYS AND RAILWAY ASSETS IN THE 9.5 INCH GAUGE; AND (3) PROMOTING AND SUPPORTING THE KNOWLEDGE SHARING THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY OF PRIVATE, PUBLIC AND COMMERCIAL RAILWAYS IN THE 9.5 INCH GAUGE.
