Charitable objects
3.1 THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO FURTHER SUCH EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC ACCORDING TO THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE AND IN PARTICULAR, BUT WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING TO: 3.1.1 MAKE GRANTS TO CHARITIES, ORGANISATIONS, PROJECTS AND INDIVIDUALS WHICH: (A) ADVANCE THE WELFARE OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH EDUCATION, TRAINING, IMPROVING HEALTH CARE AND REHABILITATION; (B) PROVIDE THE RELIEF OF THOSE IN NEED AS A RESULT OF NATURAL AND MAN-MADE DISASTERS AND THE EFFECTS OF WAR; (C) ADVANCE THE ARTS, CULTURE AND SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY; (D) PROVIDE DEVELOPMENT AID AND REFUGEE AID; (E) RELIEVE POVERTY.
