Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY (‘THE OBJECTS’) ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN NEPAL, THE RELIEF TO THOSE IN NEED BY REASON OF YOUTH, AGE, ILL-HEALTH, DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, EMERGENCY OR DISASTER BY:- 1. ADVANCING EDUCATION BY MEANS OF CONSTRUCTION, TRAINING OR RESOURCING PROJECTS; 2. IMPROVING HEALTHCARE AND HEALTH AWARENESS THROUGH THE PROVISION OF MATERIALS, MEDICINES AND SKILLS AND BY THE DELIVERY OF HEALTH EDUCATION PROGRAMMES; 3. ADVANCING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT THROUGH COMMUNITY EDUCATION AND SOCIAL WELFARE PROGRAMMES INCLUDING THE PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL FACILITIES AND OTHER PUBLIC AMENITIES SUCH AS BRIDGES OR WATER PROJECTS; 4. PROMOTING EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY THROUGH SOCIAL WELFARE AND EDUCATION PROGRAMMES; AND 5. THE CONSERVATION AND PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT. AND TO FURTHER THE OBJECTS BY MAKING GRANTS TO EXISTING ORGANISATIONS OR BY SETTING UP NEW PROJECTS ORGANISED AND RUN BY THE BRITAIN-NEPAL CHARITABLE TRUST ITSELF. [NOTHING IN THIS DEED SHALL AUTHORIZE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CHARITY FOR PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND/OR SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.]
