Charitable objects
THE OBJECTIVES OF THE CIO ARE: INSOFAR AS THEY ARE CHARITABLE UNDER THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES, THE AIMS OF VAJIRA MINDFULNESS CENTRE (ENGLAND) SHALL BE: 1) TO ADVANCE THE BUDDHIST FAITH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE SOUTH EAST ENGLAND AND BEYOND IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY THE FOLLOWING MEANS: A. ESTABLISHING A PERMANENT CENTRE WHERE DHAMMA CAN BE STUDIED AND TAUGHT AND WHERE MEDITATION CAN BE PRACTICED; B. PROVIDING SUPPORT TO BUDDHIST MONKS AND NUNS IN THEIR STUDIES AND PASTORAL DUTIES. C. RAISING PUBLIC AWARENESS OF BUDDHISM. D. PROVIDING SUPPORT TO BUDDHIST MONKS AND NUNS TO STAY LONGER TO ADVANCE THE BUDDHIST FAITH FOR THE PUBLIC. E. PROVIDING SUPPORT TO BUDDHIST MONKS AND NUNS FOR FURTHER EDUCATION TO AID THEIR TEACHING IN BUDDHIST RELATED ACTIVITIES. F. TO PROMOTE MINDFULNESS MEDIATION PRACTICES THROUGH DIRECT TEACHING AND MULTIMEDIA METHODS IN-LINE WITH SOCIAL TRENDS (BOOKS, ONLINE, FACEBOOK ETC.) G. TO CREATE BROTHERHOOD SOCIETY, WELCOMING PEOPLE FROM ALL RACES AND FAITHS THAT HAVE AN INTEREST IN DHAMMA AND MINDFULNESS MEDIATION PRACTICES. H. TO BE ABLE TO JOIN WITH OTHER ORGANISATIONS TO PROMOTE PEACE IN COMMUNITY. 2) SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS THE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE OF THE VAJIRA MINDFULNESS CENTRE (ENGLAND) SHALL DETERMINE.
