Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO ADVANCE, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, SUCH EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE PURPOSES (ACCORDING TO THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES) AS THE TRUSTEES IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION SEE FIT FROM TIME TO TIME, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, BY MAKING GRANTS TO OTHER CHARITIES, ORGANISATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS TO: 3.1 ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE SUBJECT OF MUSIC INCLUDING BY, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY LIMITED TO, PROVIDING (BY WAY OF LOAN AND/OR OUTRIGHT GIFT) MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS, TUITION AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES FOR THE BENEFIT OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE IN SCHOOLS AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL SETTINGS; 3.2 ADVANCE THE HEALTH AND EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC ON ISSUES OF MENTAL HEALTH, IN PARTICULAR (BUT WITHOUT LIMITATION) WITH REGARD TO THE BENEFITS OF COGNITIVE BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY; AND 3.3 PROMOTE RELIGIOUS OR RACIAL HARMONY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: 3.3.1 ADVANCING THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN RELATION TO DIFFERENT CULTURES AND FAITHS, INCLUDING BY SUCH MEANS AS PROMOTE AN AWARENESS OF THEIR DISTINCTIVE FEATURES AND THEIR COMMON GROUND TO PROMOTE GOOD RELATIONS BETWEEN PERSONS OF DIFFERENT CULTURES AND/OR FAITHS. 3.3.2 PROMOTING KNOWLEDGE AND MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING AND RESPECT OF DIFFERENT CULTURES AND FAITHS. 3.3.3 ADVANCING THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC ABOUT ALL ASPECTS OF PEACE AND PEACE MOVEMENTS.
