THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1. FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC TO RELIVE THE SUFFERING OF BIRDS OF PREY IN NEED OF CARE AND ATTENTION, AND, IN PARTICULAR, TO PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN RESCUE HOMES OR OTHER FACILITIES FOR THE RECEPTION, CARE AND TREATMENT OF SUCH BIRDS. 2. TO PROMOTE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT THE CONSERVATION, PROTECTION AND PRESERVATION OF BIRDS OF PREY TOGETHER WITH THEIR VARYING HABITATS, THROUGH BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY CAPTIVE BREEDING PROGRAMMES FOR ENDANGERED SPECIES, HABITAT RESTORATION AND PROTECTION, THE TREATMENT AND REHABILITATION OF WILD INJURED RAPTORS, CONTRIBUTING TO RESEARCH INTO THE BREEDING, HABITAT AND HEALTH OF ALL BIRDS OF PREY, AND COLLABORATING WITH OTHER CONSERVATION ORGANIZATIONS FOR SPECIES RECOVERY EFFORTS. 3. THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC GENERALLY IN THE CONSERVATION, PRESERVATION AND WELFARE OF BIRDS OF PREY AND IN MATTERS PERTAINING TO THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY AND SUFFERING AMONG SUCH BIRDS.
