THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO, TO BE CARRIED OUT IN YORKSHIRE AND SUCH OTHER PARTS OF ENGLAND AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL DETERMINE, ARE: 1) TO ADVANCE EDUCATION IN, AND APPRECIATION OF, THE ART OF CHORAL MUSIC IN ALL ITS FORMS, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH THE PUBLIC PRESENTATION OF PERFORMANCES OF CHORAL MUSIC AND PROMOTING PUBLIC AWARENESS OF, AND PARTICIPATION IN, CHORAL MUSIC. 2) TO FURTHER SUCH PURPOSES AS ARE EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE WITHIN THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE, IN PARTICULAR THROUGH THE MAKING OF GRANTS AND DONATIONS.
