FOR THE RELIEF AND ASSISTANCE OF AUTISTIC CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE, OR THOSE AWAITING DIAGNOSIS, AND THEIR PARENTS, CARERS, AND FAMILIES, PARTICULARLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY IN LEEDS AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS, BY PROVIDING SERVICES SUCH AS ADVICE, ADVOCACY, AND PRACTICAL SUPPORT, THROUGH THE FOLLOWING MEANS: • BUILDING A SUPPORT NETWORK FOR PARENTS AND CARERS THROUGH PEER SUPPORT GROUPS, BOTH ONLINE AND AT LOCAL MEETUPS. • PROMOTING SOCIAL INCLUSION AND WELL-BEING OF AUTISTIC CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE, TO HELP THEM DEVELOP SOCIAL NETWORKS, FRIENDSHIPS, PEER GROUPS, AND RAISE SELF-ESTEEM. • PROMOTING AUTISM AWARENESS AND ADVANCING THE KNOWLEDGE OF PARENTS, CARERS, AND FAMILY SUPPORTERS SO THEY CAN BETTER UNDERSTAND AND SUPPORT THEIR CHILD'S NEEDS. ADDITIONALLY, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT - IMPROVING UNDERSTANDING, TOLERANCE, AND ACCEPTANCE OF ALL AUTISTIC PEOPLE IN THE WIDER COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING AUTISM AWARENESS AND KNOWLEDGE TRAINING.
