Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO, TO BE CARRIED OUT FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN GLOSSOP AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, ARE: 1) THE PROMOTION OF SOCIAL INCLUSION AMONG PEOPLE WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY, OR PARTS OF SOCIETY, AS A RESULT OF LONG TERM PHYSICAL ILLNESS, DIAGNOSED OR UNDIAGNOSED NEUROLOGICAL DIVERGENCE OR MENTAL ILLNESS AND LEARNING DISABILITIES, RELIEVING THEIR NEEDS AND ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY PROVIDING ONE TO ONE AND GROUP ARTS ACTIVITIES, AND COUNSELLING OR THERAPY, IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT DESIGNED TO SUPPORT PARTICIPANTS AND ENABLE THEM TO BUILD CONFIDENCE, INCREASE SELF-ESTEEM AND DEVELOP SOCIAL AND LIFE SKILLS WHICH HELP TO INCREASE THEIR CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES AND MAXIMISE THEIR POTENTIAL. 2) THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF GOOD HEALTH BY PROVIDING ACCESS TO MEANINGFUL, CREATIVE, ACCESSIBLE AND AFFORDABLE GROUP ARTS ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PAINTING, DRAWING, COLLAGE, CREATIVE WRITING, SCULPTURE, TEXTILES AND PRINTMAKING.
