THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: TO PROVIDE RELIEF TO THOSE GRANTED REFUGEE STATUS, ASYLUM SEEKERS AND MIGRANTS IN THE SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL AND THE NEIGHBOURING BOROUGHS OF DUDLEY, WALSALL, WOLVERHAMPTON AND BIRMINGHAM CITY BY THE PROVISION OF A DROP IN CENTRE TO PROVIDE TRAINING FACILITIES AND SUPPORT SERVICES SO AS TO ADVANCE THEM IN LIFE AND ASSIST THEM WITH THE ADAPTION WITHIN A NEW COMMUNITY, WITH THE OBJECTS OF: - 1. PRESERVING AND PROTECTING THEIR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH; 2. ADVANCING THEIR EDUCATION AND TRAINING; 3. RELIEVING THEM FROM FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AND UNEMPLOYMENT; AND 4. PROVIDING FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF THOSE PERSONS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH [SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES ACT 2011.
