THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS: TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN FAITH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN ENGLAND, AND SUCH OTHER PARTS OF THE UK AND THE WORLD AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATEMENT OF FAITH SET OUT IN CLAUSE 31 OF THIS CONSTITUTION, IN PARTICULAR THROUGH THE PROVISION OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION AND MISSIONARY WORK AND PASTORAL OUTREACH INITIATIVES TO ASSIST POOR AND NEEDY MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY.
