THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT FOR ALL, THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF GOOD HEALTH PRIMARILY AMONG MEN AGED 18 YEARS AND OLDER LIVING IN CALDERDALE AND THE SURROUNDING AREA INCLUDING THOSE WHO ARE EMPLOYED, RETIRED, UNEMPLOYED OR HAVE HEALTH PROBLEMS THROUGH THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR HOBBIES, RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES INCLUDING PRACTICAL INTERESTS, SKILLS SHARING, THE LEARNING OF NEW SKILLS, AND HELPING WITH COMMUNITY BASED PROJECTS.
