Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO APPLY ITS INCOME AND CAPITAL TOWARDS THE RELIEF AND PREVENTION OF POVERTY OF THE INHABITANTS OF WYMONDHAM, SURROUNDING AREAS AND SUCH OTHER AREAS AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE TO BE IN NEED OR ARE IN POVERTY (HEREINAFTER CALLED “THE AREA OF BENEFIT”) BY REASON OF AGE, ILL-HEALTH, DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS BY: 3.1 THE PROVISION OF FOOD, CLOTHING, TOILETRIES AND LAUNDRY PRODUCTS, NAPPIES, BABY FOOD, SHELTER, TRANSPORT AND ENERGY VOUCHERS AND OTHER ESSENTIAL HOUSEHOLD PRODUCTS TO THOSE IDENTIFIED AS BEING IN NEED; 3.2 WORKING WITH OTHER LOCAL AND NATIONAL ORGANISATIONS TO ENSURE THAT THOSE IN POVERTY AND OTHER DISADVANTAGED PEOPLE HAVE ACCESS TO APPROPRIATE INFORMATION TO ENABLE THEM TO EXPLORE MEANS OF MAKING IMPROVEMENTS TO THEIR LIFE CONDITIONS IN ORDER TO ALLEVIATE THE HARDSHIP THAT THEY ARE SUFFERING OR PREVENT ANY FUTURE HARDSHIP; 3.3 WORKING WITH OTHER AGENCIES TO ENSURE THAT THOSE IN FOOD POVERTY AND OTHER DISADVANTAGED PEOPLE, ARE ARMED WITH APPROPRIATE INFORMATION, HAVE GUIDANCE, SUPPORT AND ACCESS TO ADVOCACY SERVICES OR OTHER STATUTORY BODIES THAT FACILITATE THE PROVISION OF MONEY MANAGEMENT, HOUSING OR OTHER RELEVANT COURSES, ADVICE AND PRACTICAL SUPPORT IN ORDER TO ENABLE THEM TO IMPROVE THEIR CIRCUMSTANCES, ALLEVIATE HARDSHIP FROM WHICH THEY ARE SUFFERING OR PREVENT ANY FUTURE HARDSHIP; AND 3.4 SUCH OTHER MEANS AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME THINK FIT WITH THE AIMS OF PREVENTING AND PROVIDING RELIEF FROM POVERTY.
