Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1. THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY OR FINANCIAL HARDSHIP ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD BY PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF FOOD AND ESSENTIAL ITEMS, EMERGENCY SUPPORT, EDUCATION, TRAINING, HEALTHCARE PROJECTS AND ALL THE NECESSARY SUPPORT DESIGNED TO ENABLE INDIVIDUALS TO GENERATE A SUSTAINABLE INCOME AND BE SELF SUFFICIENT. 2. THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND THE PRESERVATION OF GOOD HEATH IN THE UK AND OVERSEAS BY THE PROVISION OF EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS, RAISING AWARENESS OF ILLNESS AND DISEASES SUCH AS CANCER, DIABETES, MENTAL HEALTH AND EYE CARE AND BY ARRANGING HEALTH CLINICS WITH THE AID OF MEDICAL INSTITUTIONS AND PROFESSIONALS. 3. THE PROMOTION OF RELIGIOUS HARMONY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC BY: A. EDUCATING THE PUBLIC IN DIFFERENT RELIGIOUS BELIEFS INCLUDING AN AWARENESS OF THEIR DISTINCTIVE FEATURES AND THEIR COMMON GROUND TO PROMOTE GOOD RELATIONS BETWEEN PERSONS OF DIFFERENT FAITHS; B. PROMOTING KNOWLEDGE AND MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING AND RESPECT OF THE BELIEFS AND PRACTICES OF DIFFERENT RELIGIOUS FAITHS. C. WORKING WITH RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS TO PREVENT THE MISREPRESENTATION OF RELIGIONS AND SPREAD RELIGIOUS HARMONY BY HOSTING MULTI FAITH EVENTS TO WHICH ALL ARE WELCOME TO LEARN ABOUT OTHER RELIGIONS IN A SAFE AND OPEN ENVIRONMENT. 4. TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF INDIVIDUALS OVERSEAS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE.
