Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE TRUST ARE TO ADVANCE SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES (ACCORDING TO THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES) AS THE TRUSTEES SEE FIT FROM TIME TO TIME, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT LIMITED TO: 2.1 THE PROMOTION AND PROTECTION OF THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH OF THE SUFFERERS OF CANCER, SENSORY IMPAIRMENT, ARTHRITIS OR STROKE, IN PARTICULAR THROUGH RESEARCH INTO THE CAUSES, PREVENTION, TREATMENT AND CURE THEREOF, MEDICAL TREATMENT AND CARE, AND THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT SERVICES AND EQUIPMENT; 2.2 THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN ALL AREAS RELATING TO CANCER, SENSORY IMPAIRMENT, ARTHRITIS OR STOKE; 2.3 THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, IN PARTICULAR THROUGH: THE TRAINING, MENTORING AND EQUIPPING OF CHRISTIAN LEADERS; THE ESTABLISHMENT AND SUPPORT OF CHRISTIAN CHURCHES; AND, THE HOLDING OF PRAYER MEETINGS, LECTURES AND PUBLIC EVENTS, AND THE PRODUCTION COMMUNICATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF CHRISTIAN MATERIALS AND INFORMATION, TO ENLIGHTEN OTHERS ABOUT THE CHRISTIAN FAITH; 2.4 THE RELIEF OF PERSONS WITH A LEARNING DISABILITY OR IMPAIRMENT BY PROVIDING SUPPORT, SERVICES AND EQUIPMENT TO IMPROVE THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE OR TO DEVELOP SKILLS CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM ACHIEVE GREATER INDEPENDENCE IN THEIR LIVES; 2.5 THE PROMOTION OF SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY PREVENTING PEOPLE FROM BECOMING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, RELIEVING THE NEEDS OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED AND ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY. FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLAUSE, SOCIALLY EXCLUDED MEANS BEING EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY OR PARTS OF SOCIETY BY REASON OF YOUTH, AGE, ILL HEALTH OR DISABILITY; 2.6 THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY BY PROVIDING GRANTS, ITEMS AND SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED AND/OR CHARITIES, OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WORKING TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE POVERTY. 2.7 THE PROMOTION OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY, FOR EXAMPLE, ADVANCING EDUCATION AND RAISING AWARENESS IN EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY, PROMOTING ACTIVITIES TO FOSTER UNDERSTANDING PEOPLE FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS AND CULTIVATING A SENTIMENT IN FAVOUR OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY. 2.8 THE RELIEF AND ASSISTANCE OF PEOPLE WHO ARE THE VICTIMS OF WAR OR NATURAL DISASTER, TROUBLE, OR CATASTROPHE IN PARTICULAR BY THE SUPPLY OF MEDICAL AID TO SUCH PERSONS. 2.9 TO RELIEVE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, PHYSICAL ILLNESS AND MENTAL ILLNESS OF SERVICEMEN AND WAR VETERANS BY PROVIDING AND ASSISTING THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES, SUPPORT SERVICES AND EQUIPMENT. 2.10 TO ADVANCE IN LIFE AND RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF PEOPLE AGED 21 YEARS AND BELOW BY THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT, RECREATIONAL LEISURE TIME AND OTHER ACTIVITIES DESIGNED TO DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES OR TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS; AND CLAUSES 2.3 TO 2.10 ARE RESTRICTED TO BENEFITING PEOPLE IN ENGLAND (BUT, FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF DOUBT, BENEFIT UNDER CLAUSE 2 MAY OTHERWISE BE PROVIDED WORLDWIDE).
