THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO, TO BE CARRIED OUT FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT WITHIN A CHRISTIAN ETHOS IN THE UK AND SUCH OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL DETERMINE, ARE: TO PROVIDE EMOTIONAL AND PEER SUPPORT, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY TO THE SPOUSES OF CHURCH PASTORS, AND TO OTHER LEADERS IN THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH WHO ARE EXPERIENCING LONELINESS, SOCIAL ISOLATION AND PRESSURE, AND TO SUPPORT THEM WITH DEVELOPING LEADERSHIP SKILLS AND ACHIEVING SPIRITUAL MATURITY FOR MORE EFFECTIVE MINISTRY.
