Charitable objects
3.1 FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, TO PROMOTE THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR THROUGHOUT THE UNITED KINGDOM BY: (A) INSPIRING ACCOUNTANTS AND OTHER FINANCIALLY SKILLED INDIVIDUALS ACROSS THE BROADER FINANCE SECTOR TO VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME AND SKILLS TO CHARITIES, SCHOOLS, COMMUNITY GROUPS AND OTHER NON-PROFITS ORGANISATIONS; (B) CONNECTING CHARITIES, SCHOOLS, COMMUNITY GROUPS AND OTHER NON-PROFITS ORGANISATIONS WITH DIVERSE AND EXPERT FINANCIALLY-SKILLED VOLUNTEERS, TO HELP THESE GROUPS SECURE THE CRITICAL SKILLS AND SUPPORT REQUIRED TO NAVIGATE AND ADDRESS THE FINANCIAL CHALLENGES THEY FACE; AND (C) ENGAGING WITH THE BROADER FINANCE PROFESSION TO NORMALISE AND PROMOTE FINANCIAL SKILLS-BASED VOLUNTEERING AS AN INTEGRAL AND REWARDING PART OF A CAREER IN ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE. 3.2 FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS CLAUSE, ‘THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR’ MEANS CHARITIES AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS. (A) CHARITIES ARE ORGANISATIONS, WHICH ARE ESTABLISHED FOR EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE PURPOSES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES. (B) VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS ARE INDEPENDENT ORGANISATIONS, WHICH ARE ESTABLISHED FOR PURPOSES THAT ADD VALUE TO THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE, OR A SIGNIFICANT SECTION OF THE COMMUNITY, AND WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED BY THEIR CONSTITUTION TO MAKE A PROFIT FOR PRIVATE DISTRIBUTION. VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS DO NOT INCLUDE LOCAL GOVERNMENT OR OTHER STATUTORY AUTHORITIES.
