THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO SUPPORT THE SECULAR CLERGY OF THE ARCHDIOCESE WHO, ON ACCOUNT OF AGE, INFIRMITY OR PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES, ARE NO LONGER ABLE TO CONTINUE THEIR PAROCHIAL WORK AND TO SUPPORT PRIESTS WHO ARE SUFFERING TEMPORARY ILLNESS OR HAVE HAD TO UNDERGO OPERATIONS BY WHATEVER MEANS THE TRUSTEES THINK FIT ("THE OBJECTS").
