Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO RELIEVE POVERTY AND THE CHARITABLE NEEDS FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT OF THOSE WHO HAVE SUFFERED THE SUDDEN BEREAVEMENT OF A YOUNG ADULT (AGED 18-40) IN THE MIDLAND AREA OF ENGLAND BY:- - PROVIDING SUCH PERSONS WITH MEMORIAL ITEMS TO HONOUR THEIR LOST LOVED ONE WHICH THEY COULD NOT OTHERWISE AFFORD THROUGH LACK OF MEANS; - PROVIDING GRANTS TO HELP TOWARDS THE UNEXPECTED COST OF FUNERALS FOR LOVED ONES TO HELP TOWARDS PAYMENT FOR THE SERVICE OR MEMORIAL; - PROVIDING FAMILY FOCUSED EVENTS FOR THE COMMUNITY OF DUDLEY, WOLVERHAMPTON AND SURROUNDING AREAS FOR THOSE AFFECTED BY THE SUDDEN LOSS OF A YOUNG LIFE; AND - TO PROVIDE LINKS AND SIGNPOSTING FOR COUNSELLING AND MENTAL HEALTH ASSISTANCE FOR FAMILY MEMBERS TO PROVIDE FAMILIES THE SUPPORT AND HELP THEY NEED AT THEIR MOST DESPERATE TIME OF SUDDEN LOSS. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
