Charitable objects

1. TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE HEALTH OF CARERS IN WALES BY PROVIDING PEER AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT, INFORMATION, AND ADVOCACY TO CARERS AND BY RAISING AWARENESS TO THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE ROLE OF UNPAID CARERS, THEIR RIGHTS, AND THE IMPACT ON THEIR HEALTH. 2. THE RELIEF OF THE NEEDS OF UNPAID CARERS IN WALES, BY PROVIDING PEER SUPPORT, ADVOCACY, INFORMATION, AND EDUCATION AIMED AT IMPROVING THEIR WELLBEING AND WELFARE. IN FURTHERANCE OF THESE OBJECTS BUT NOT OTHERWISE, THE TRUSTEES SHALL HAVE POWER TO ENGAGE IN POLITICAL ACTIVITY PROVIDED THAT THEY ARE SATISFIED THAT THE PROPOSED ACTIVITIES WILL FURTHER THE PURPOSES OF THE CHARITY TO AN EXTENT JUSTIFIED BY THE RESOURCES COMMITTED AND THE ACTIVITY IS NOT THE DOMINANT MEANS BY WHICH THE CHARITY CARRIES OUT ITS OBJECTS.
