Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF PEOPLE WITH AUTISM, ADHD AND CO-OCCURING DISABILITIES FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY:- 1. ADVANCING THE EDUCATION OF PROFESSIONALS, STUDENTS AND THE PUBLIC REGARDING AUTISM, ADHD, AND CO-OCCURRING DIAGNOSIS THROUGH TRAINING DAYS, GUEST SPEAKERS AND PUBLIC EVENTS; 2. ASSISTING IN THE TREATMENT AND CARE OF PERSONS EFFECTED BY PEOPLE WITH AUTISM, ADHD AND CO-OCCURRING DIAGNOSIS’ BY THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR WORK AND RECREATION; 3. PROMOTING AND PROTECTING THE MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING OF PEOPLE WITH AUTISM ADHD AND CO-OCCURRING DIAGNOSIS’ IN BRISTOL AND SURROUNDING AREAS THROUGH THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, SUPPORT, ADVOCACY, EDUCATION, PEER SUPPORT AND PRACTICAL ADVICE; 4. PROMOTING EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY EMPOWERING THE ELIMINATION OF ABLEISM TOWARDS PEOPLE WITH AUTISM, ADHD AND CO-OCCURRING DISABILITIES; AND 5. PROMOTING SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY THROUGH PUBLIC EVENTS. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH [SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005] AND [SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008].
