FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, UNDERTAKEN FOR WOMEN IN LEBANON AND THE UK: THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AMONGST THOSE GRANTED REFUGEE STATUS AND THEIR DEPENDANTS. THE PROMOTION OF SOCIAL INCLUSION AMONG PEOPLE WHO ARE REFUGEES AND ASYLUM SEEKERS WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED ON THE GROUNDS OF THEIR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC POSITION, AND TO RELIEVE THEIR NEEDS, BY: ? PROVIDING EDUCATION AND SKILLS TRAINING SO AS TO ENABLE THEM TO ADAPT WITHIN A NEW COMMUNITY; ? PROVIDING RECREATIONAL FACILITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES, ART-BASED WORKSHOPS, FORUMS, ADVOCACY AND GENERAL SUPPORT; AND ? RAISING PUBLIC AWARENESS, IN PARTICULAR THROUGH THE MEDIUM OF FILM AND ART, OF THE ISSUES AFFECTING REFUGEES AND ASYLUM SEEKERS, BOTH GENERALLY AND IN RELATION TO THEIR SOCIAL EXCLUSION.
