THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL SPEECH AND LANGUAGE EDUCATIONAL NEEDS AND ASSISTING CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL SPEECH AND LANGUAGE EDUCATIONAL NEEDS TO DEVELOP THEIR SPEECH, LANGUAGE, COMMUNICATION AND LIFE SKILLS, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, BY MEANS OF: (A) THE RUNNING OF A SPECIAL SCHOOL & COLLEGE, INCLUDING ASSOCIATED RESIDENTIAL PROVISION, AND DEVELOPING AND SHARING SPEECH AND LANGUAGE EXPERTISE; (B) UNDERTAKING RESEARCH INTO LANGUAGE DISORDERS AND ASSOCIATED CONDITIONS AND PUBLISHING THE USEFUL RESULTS OF THE RESEARCH; (C) PROVIDING TRAINING, AIDS OR RESOURCES IN LANGUAGE DISORDERS AND ASSOCIATED CONDITIONS.
