THE CHARITABLE PURPOSE OF SAVE OUR SHORELINE IS THE ADVANCEMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION OF THE SHORELINE IN START BAY INCLUDING THE SITE OF SPECIAL SCIENTIFIC INTEREST OF SLAPTON LINE AND SLAPTON LEY THROUGH ACTION OFFSHORE INCLUDING THE SKERRIES BANK IN START BAY AND ONSHORE. THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE:TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT OF THE SHORELINE IN START BAY INCLUDING THE SITE OF SPECIAL SCIENTIFIC INTEREST OF SLAPTON LINE AND SLAPTON LEY BY EXPLORING THE FEASIBILITY OF, AND SUBJECT TO THAT, TO FUND THE IMPLEMENTATION OF AN OFF AND ONSHORE SUSTAINABLE NATURE-BASED SOLUTION TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEM OF COASTAL EROSION IN START BAY SOUTH DEVON AND HELPING TO SAFEGUARD THE FUTURE OF SLAPTON LINE AND THE A379 COAST ROAD TO THE BENEFIT OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITIES ALONG THE COAST AND INLAND. IN FURTHERANCE OF THAT OBJECT BUT NOT OTHERWISE, THE TRUSTEES SHALL HAVE POWER TO ENGAGE IN POLITICAL ACTIVITY PROVIDED THAT THE TRUSTEES ARE SATISFIED THAT THE PROPOSED ACTIVITIES WILL FURTHER THE PURPOSES OF THE CHARITY TO AN EXTENT JUSTIFIED BY THE RESOURCES COMMITTED AND THE ACTIVITY IS NOT THE DOMINANT MEANS BY WHICH THE CHARITY CARRIES OUT ITS OBJECTS.
