THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE, TO ADVANCE EDUCATION IN THE PERFORMING ARTS FOR SIXTH-FORM STUDENTS AT DORSET CENTRE FOR PERFORMING ARTS BY PROVIDING GRANTS, BURSARIES OR OTHER PAYMENTS OR FORMS OF SUPPORT TO SUCH PERSONS TO PURCHASE CLOTHING, EQUIPMENT OR SIMILAR ITEMS IN SUPPORT OF THEIR EDUCATION, ENABLE THEM TO UNDERTAKE TRAVEL IN FURTHERANCE OF THEIR EDUCATION, TO TAKE PART IN EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES WHICH THEY MAY OTHERWISE NOT AFFORD, OR TO PREPARE FOR ENTRY TO ANY OCCUPATION, TRADE OR PROFESSION ON LEAVING THE EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT.
