THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS THE PRESERVATION OF HEALTH AND THE SAVING OF LIVES THROUGH ENGAGING WITH ORGANISATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS WHO SEEK TO ACHIEVE A UNITED KINGDOM SOCIETY THAT IS SAFE FROM FIRE BY, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PARTICIPATING, SHARING, COORDINATING AND FACILITATING COLLABORATION, LEARNING AND ACTIONS THAT IMPACT ON FIRE SAFETY ACROSS THE NATURAL AND BUILT ENVIRONMENT; ALONGSIDE THE PROMOTION OF RELEVANT TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT, DISSEMINATION AND APPLICATION OF GUIDANCE, REGULATIONS AND CODES OF PRACTICE WITHIN THE FIRE SAFETY AND ALLIED SECTORS.
