THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1.1 TO ADVANCE SUCH GENERAL CHARITABLE PURPOSES (ACCORDING TO THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES) AS THE TRUSTEES SEE FIT FROM TIME TO TIME THROUGH THE PROVISION OF GRANTS. 1.2 THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY IN ENGLAND AND WALES BY PROVIDING: GRANTS, ITEMS, SERVICES OR FACILITIES TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED AND / OR CHARITIES, OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WORKING TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE POVERTY. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT ACT 2005.
