THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1) TO PROMOTE AND ADVANCE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THE CONSERVATION OF THE BONOBO SPECIES AND THE CONSERVATION, PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THEIR HABITAT IN IYONDJI COMMUNITY BONOBO RESERVE, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO BY THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL GRANTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS AND BY SUCH OTHER MEANS AS THE TRUSTEES IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME SEE FIT. 2) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE CONSERVATION AND PROTECTION OF THE BONOBO SPECIES BY MEANS OF, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT AND THE PROVISION OF PUBLIC EDUCATION, SCIENTIFIC STUDY AND TRAINING.
