Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CHURCH ARE TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SUBORDINATE STANDARDS. (THE SUBORDINATE STANDARDS OF THE CHURCH CONSIST IN WHAT ARE COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS THE WESTMINSTER STANDARDS, COMPRISING: (A) THE CONFESSION OF FAITH: EXAMINED AND APPROVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE CHURCH OF SCOTLAND, 1647, AND RATIFIED AND ESTABLISHED BY ACTS OF PARLIAMENT, 1649 AND 1690. (B) THE LARGER AND SHORTER CATECHISMS: EXAMINED AND APPROVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE CHURCH OF SCOTLAND, 1648, AND RATIFIED AND ESTABLISHED BY ACT OF PARLIAMENT, 1649.)
