THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: (1) THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY IN NIGERIA, BY PROVIDING: GRANTS, ITEMS AND SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED AND/CHARITIES, OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WORKING TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE POVERTY. (2) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION IN NIGERIA, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY OFFERING SCHOLARSHIPS, BURSARIES, AND EDUCATIONAL GRANTS TO UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE, ENSURING THEY HAVE ACCESS TO QUALITY EDUCATION AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES, THROUGH EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES, WORKSHOPS, SEMINARS AND PROVIDING SUPPORT TO SCHOOLS, COLLEGES, AND UNIVERSITIES IN RESOURCE-LIMITED AREAS BY SUPPLYING EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS, IMPROVING INFRASTRUCTURE, AND OFFERING TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAMMES TO ENHANCE EDUCATIONAL STANDARDS.
