Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT: 1. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE FIELD OF CATASTROPHIC AND/OR GLOBAL RISK (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO HUMAN HEALTH, POVERTY, ANIMAL WELFARE AND EMERGING TECHNOLOGICAL RISK), IN PARTICULAR IN IDENTIFYING AND MANAGING SUCH RISKS AND IN PARTICULAR IN RISKS POSED FROM ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE. THIS WILL BE ACHIEVED BY: A. PROVIDING AND SUPPORTING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES AND WORKSHOPS; AND B. SUPPORTING RESEARCH IN THESE FIELDS AND DISSEMINATING ITS FINDINGS TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. 2. THE PROMOTION OF THE EFFECTIVE USE OF RESOURCES FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES BY CHARITABLE AND NON-CHARITABLE BODIES WORKING TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC AS OUTLINED IN THE CLAUSE ABOVE IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: A. PROVIDING FREE OR LOW COST CO-WORKING SPACES AND OTHER SERVICES TO CHARITIES, VOLUNTARY AND NON-PROFIT ORGANISATIONS AIMED AT INCREASING THEIR PRODUCTIVITY, EFFICIENCY AND WHERE THEY ARE ENCOURAGED TO SHARE RELEVANT ADVICE, IDEAS AND RESEARCH, PROMOTE COORDINATION AND WHERE THEY ARE SUPPORTED TO IDENTIFY GAPS AND OPPORTUNITIES IN THEIR CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES; B. PROVIDING INFORMATION AND ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC ON ESTABLISHING CHARITIES AND OTHER VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS THROUGH WHICH THE FURTHERANCE OF CHARITABLE PURPOSES CAN BE ACHIEVED.
