THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1) TO PROMOTE AND PROTECT THE HEALTH OF PREGNANT BAME WOMEN IN LONDON AND THEIR UNBORN CHILD BY PROVIDING:- A) SPECIALISED INDEPENDENT CULTURALLY SENSITIVE MIDWIFERY CARE TO MEET THE UNIQUE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY. B) CARE IN CLIENTS’ HOMES OR CLINIC OFFERING CONVENIENCE AND COMFORT TO WOMEN. C) COLLABORATION WITH NHS TO ENHANCE ACCESS TO CARE AND ENSURE SEAMLESS COORDINATION OF SERVICES D) EXTENDED POSTNATAL CARE AND SUPPORT TO ADDRESS THE UNIQUE CHALLENGES FACED BY WOMEN DURING THE POSTPARTUM PERIOD 2) TO ADVANCE EDUCATION IN MATERNAL HEALTH CARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS AND LITERATURE TO EMPOWER WOMEN AND PROMOTE HEALTHIER LIFESTYLES DURING PREGNANCY AND BEYOND.
